Volunteers Clean Up Seaside Amid Major International Event in Aktau

As part of the “Clean Kazakhstan” campaign, volunteers from the Mangystau Region Youth Policy Department took to the shores of the Caspian Sea to remove litter during a major international event held in Aktau.
Around 100 volunteers are not only performing their assigned duties but also actively encouraging both residents and guests to maintain cleanliness. They have been on duty since the beginning of the large-scale seaside festivities.
“This is a significant event for our city, and it’s expected to attract many guests from near and far. Naturally, where there are crowds, the amount of waste tends to increase, especially along the coastline,” said volunteer Islam Tilepov. “In addition to greeting and assisting guests, we’ve been carrying out continuous clean-up efforts. Through this, we are lending a hand to public utility workers. We call on everyone to help keep our environment clean.”
The initiative reflects the strong sense of civic responsibility among the region’s youth and highlights their role in supporting both local services and a welcoming environment for international visitors.
