A Grand Gala Concert Unfolds at “Darkhan Dala” Ethnovillage with Performances by Local and International Artists

A vibrant gala concert is underway at the “Darkhan Dala” ethnovillage, featuring the participation of both local and international performers.

At this event uniting the Turkic world, musical instruments from various nations—Azerbaijan’s balaban, Kyrgyzstan’s komuz, Türkiye’s bağlama, and Turkmenistan’s dutar—resounded harmoniously on one stage.

On the smaller stage within the village, nearly twenty performers from Turkmenistan captivated the audience. They sang their national songs and performed their traditional dance, “Küshdepti,” receiving great appreciation from the crowd.

“Aktau received the cultural capital baton from the city of Anau in Turkmenistan. This city is close to our shared border and our spiritual traditions are deeply connected. The audience has warmly welcomed our artists’ performances on stage. We’ll continue sharing our art tomorrow as well,” said Azat Mukhammetmyradov, head of a department at Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Culture.

Artists from Kyrgyzstan also delivered remarkable performances for the Aktau audience. Kobyz player Talantbek Karabayev enchanted the crowd with the traditional piece “Ak Bakaı,” showcasing the rich and soulful sound of the komuz. It was his first time in Aktau, and he expressed deep gratitude for the hospitality shown by the people of Mangystau.

“Aktau has truly prepared something special. We’re enjoying the atmosphere here. The audience’s response while I was on stage was heartfelt. There’s a unique energy all around. Thank you, especially for the warm hospitality,” he said.
